Fullbody Massage is a Waste of Time?

4 Hands is better than two.

No, I don’t have a clone, but that would be awesome! I want you to stop and think about this for a second; seriously, take a second to think. Do you have the same issues every time you come in for a session? Same tension, same pain, same patterns…Why? Do you even really want to get better or manage your symptoms? Is your bodyworker doing the same BS ford assembly line treatment? Same pattern, same flow, same treatment? I hope you want to get better. There’s another way.

Here’s the thing, 1 hour or even 90mins isn’t really that much time. If you’re doing full-body massage every single time you come in, there’s a better way to make a dent or even solve the problem. The solution is to make a plan, figure out your weaknesses, find your short/tight areas and attack those in chunks. Yes, we can spend 90mins in one area of your body. You will be amazed at how much better this process is than spending every session doing a full body massage.

The best times for full-body sessions are pre/post events. Or, you’ve already ironed out your weaknesses and areas that need extra attention. Of course, there is a tremendous benefit to your nervous system, mind and body when receiving even light full-body massage. It’s your session; however, unless you have zero pain, no tension, no bad postural holding patterns or no goals, then I suggest you consider switching it up :)
